BBC Yorkshire has pleasure in inviting you to
EU East - In or Out?

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read and accept these before making your application.

  • The closing date for applications is midday on Tuesday 31st May 2016.

  • Your application does not guarantee a ticket at this stage. There will be a limited number of seats, so some applications may be unsuccessful. We may only notify those people who have been given places at the event.

  • Tickets for this event are strictly non-transferable. All audience members will be required to provide photographic identification at the event.

  • In order to be fair, we intend to achieve a balanced audience of people who have indicated they support leaving the EU and those who want to remain within it. For this reason, we will need to know how you expect to vote in the referendum as part of the ticket application process. This information and your personal details will be treated entirely confidentially.

  • We intend to invite a balanced number on either side, but should there be an unequal amount for whatever reason, a small number of people might be asked to move to a different area of the venue where they will be able to observe the recording, but not actively participate in it purely in order for the programme to maintain impartiality.

  • There will be a chance to submit questions at the event. If chosen by the producers, you might be asked to read your question out and respond to comments made by the audience.

  • As with similar BBC events, such as BBC One’s Question Time, it’s important that the main speakers are respectfully heard. Applause and comments from the audience are definitely encouraged at appropriate points, but anyone causing a disturbance will be asked to leave.

  • By applying for a ticket you are agreeing to your details being passed within the BBC and the programme production as you may possibly be contacted in relation to your application.

  • The minimum age for applicants is 16 years.

  • Your personal information will be held by the BBC, your details will only be used to process your request for tickets. Your details will not be passed to any third party without your consent. In the interest of equal opportunities and with the view of achieving a diverse audience, we will be collecting sensitive personal information relating to your ethnicity and occupation. The information will be held in the strictest confidence and will be securely destroyed after the programme. If you are not selected to appear on this show, the BBC will securely destroy your personal information and we will not use it for any other purpose. Please visit the BBC's Privacy & Cookies Policy (www.bbc.co.uk/privacy ) for more information.

I have read and am happy to abide by the Terms and Conditions
